The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is a tool designed to help to create awareness of personality style and how this may impact on the way individuals approach work and life in general. Type theory suggests that we have opposite ways of gaining energy; gathering or becoming aware of information; deciding or coming to a conclusion about that information and dealing with the world around us.

The information can be useful in understanding motivations, natural strengths and potential for development. Knowledge of ‘MBTI Type’ also informs communication, management, leadership, coaching and enhances self esteem.

TMI® is a personal work preferences instrument which provides insights into an individual’s approach to work and management. It is particularly useful when working with teams, allowing them to explore and discover both their own preferred approach to work and to appreciate the diverse styles of others.

In organisations, these tools are most commonly used in:

  • Career development and exploration
  • Team building
  • Team communications
  • Management and leadership training
  • Problem solving
  • Managing conflict
  • Decision making
  • Change management

Recent assignments using MBTI® or TMI® include:

  • Individual MBTI® or TMI® career coaching
  • MBTI® introductory workshop for a small team to support team building initiatives
  • MBTI® team types workshop to explore strengths and potential blindspots in a team
